Our Story

The Bee’s Knees gift boutique was born out of one woman’s love of showering others with gifts, combined with the desire to shop responsibly.

“I love the act of giving. Few things make me happier than picking out something for someone I care about, with their joy of receiving it in mind. However, when I choose a gift for someone, I want it to be thoughtful… something that made me think of them, and something I think they’ll love and appreciate. I also try my best to shop responsibly. Where did it come from? What is it made of? What’s the item’s story?”

After taking a break from the teaching profession, and years of dreaming of opening up my own business, the idea for The Bee’s Knees was born.

“I have always tried to be conscious of my family’s impact on the environment, and while bringing The Bee’s Knees to life, I quickly realized that this would be the focus of the shop.”
